AN ASSESSMENT OF THE SAFETY AND HYGIENE PRACTICES IN THE RESTAURANT SECTOR DURING COVID-19: A CASE STUDY OF RESTAURANT SERVICES IN JAKARTA PROVINCE
Food and beverages industries is a most fast developing service industries since
eighteenth century, that also contributes for the country economy growth. Since the
outbreak of COVID-19, many sector are affected, including the restaurant sector. Also
people as an individual must do health and safety protocol on daily basis to prevent and
suppressed the spread of COVID-19. This study is to know how both manager and
restaurant’s owner, and customer assessing safety and hygiene practice during the
pandemic of COVID-19. The literature review explained about what food and beverage
sectors is, and how restaurants classified, furthermore on how COVID-19 spread and
affect the food and beverages industry.
